Arlington Cemetery, Washington DC
Arlington is an active cemetery visited by over 2 million people each year. It is the nation's premier military cemetery and is worth the visit. Every hour on the hour, the guards change on the plaza. If you want to visit the cemetery, we recommend you to stick around for the changes of the guards.
The tomb of the unknowns, or the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is located on a hill overlooking the city. An unidentified American soldier who lost his life in World War I is buried in the plaza. Please take a walk in the cemetery and pay respect to all the lost lives buried there.
Visit the Welcome Center next to the entrance for maps, grave locations, exhibits and more. You can also visit the official site of Arlington National Cemetery. For more information on events, press here
