Art Museum of Einar Jonsson, the Garden
Einar Jónsson (1874-1954) was Iceland‘s first sculptor and his most famous work was probably the statue of the viking and founder of Reykjavik, Ingólfur Arnarson at Arnarhóll.
The sculpture garden is always open and a free entrance. The entrance is on Freyjugata.
How to get there
The museum is situated near Hallgrímskirkja, the large church on the hill. The museum is located on Eiríksgata, but the garden is on Freyjugata. Turn down on Njarðargata and turn left on the first street on your left, Freyjugata. There, you can find the entrance to the garden.
