Magasin du Nord Museum - Copenhagen
The largest and oldest department store in Denmark is located only few steps away from the main shopping street, Strøget. The Magasin du Nord Museum exhibition covers beautiful dresses, toy cars, old cash registers, over 100 years of catalogues and first cinema commercials.
Magasin du Nord as we know it today, was opened in 1894, but the first shop opened in 1868 in the Danish town Århus by Emil Valentin Lemming Vett and Theodor Wilhelm Wessel. Magasin du Nord department store is located on Kongens Nytorv Square (a few steps away from the museum).
